Baisan k Dahi baray

I am sharing this recipe, that was actually invented by my Mother in Law.


For Baray:
Gram flour 4 tbsp heaped
Salt as needed
Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Meetha Soda 1 pinch
Zeera 1/2 tsp
Green chillies 1 tbsp finely chopped
Mix the above ingredients and set aside for 10 minutes. Make sure there are no lumps.
In a pan heat oil and deep fry like pakoray.
Once done put the pakoras straight out of the hot oil to a container filled with cold water.
Squeeze the excess water out and line up in a dish

For Yogurt:
Yogurt 1/2 kg
Olper’s milk 250-500 ml
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Chickpeas 1/2 cup
Onion finely chopped 1

Mix yogurt with Olper’s Milk using a whisk, until smooth
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well
Pour the yogurt mix over the baray
Bhonfy zeera until it is dark brown and then powder it, sprinkle on top along with chat masala.
Serve with Papri
